Attack on Marko Jovanović – OPNZPS Foundation Statement

The FROM PARTIZAN NOTHING—FOR PARTIZAN EVERYTHING Foundation condemns in the strongest terms the attack on Marko Jovanović, former Partizan captain, Teleoptik coach, devoted Partizan supporter and a man whose name carries weight in our house. Marko is not a chance passer-by in Partizan's history. He is one of those who carried the black and white both on his chest and in his character. Today, as a coach, he teaches our children—Partizan's children—that integrity comes before dribbling, honesty before victory and being a good person before wearing the shirt. The attack on him is therefore a disgraceful act. It is not only a blow against one man. It is an insult to Partizan's school, Teleoptik, our children, their parents and everyone who believes the club must never become anyone's spoils. We demand an immediate and complete investigation. We demand names, accountability and punishment—without obfuscation, concealment or the familiar refrain that ‘we shall see’. Whoever raised a hand against a Partizan man must answer for it. Partizan is not a market stall, a scheme, a private account or a late-night back-room arrangement. Partizan is a covenant, a home and a duty. There is no place in that home for thugs, racketeers, false authorities or petty dealers in fear. Our mission remains unchanged: to serve Partizan, not use it for personal gain. Our vision is a club in which children grow without fear, coaches work without pressure and the shirt once again represents honour. We wish Marko a swift recovery.
